Polish Haul!

Hey everyone! :)
How are ya'll doing?
I am fantastic! Thank you for asking! :p
So, I apologize for the small break I took this week.
As some of you know, I went to NYC over the weekend.
Then when I got home Sunday I had to play a double-header for softball.
That makes for a long day... especially when you're tired.
Then I did have the day off Monday, but I spent the day cleaning! Yes, I cleaned... over doing nails!
What is wrong with me?
Oh yeah... my room was a disaster hole.
I also play volleyball Tuesday's and Thursday's. I've been pretty busy.. it is quite difficult to recuperate after a three day weekend!
Tonight... I hosted an Arbonne party! Have any of you heard of this?
It's pretty great stuff! I found out about it when I went to a bridal show.
It was REALLY fun. I found the make-up I want to wear for my wedding... I think...
There are soooo many decisions to make! Goodness gracious!
Oh my lanta! I apologize for my life story!
On to the haul already!
I went shopping on hautelook (http://www.hautelook.com/short/3BneA) during their Color Club sale
They had some really great things on there, but I ended up getting two mini sets.
I got them pretty quickly and was extremely excited!
I got eight colors total including: Style Icon, Muse-ical, By Design, In The Limelight, Ho-Ho Holly, Berry and Bright, Gift of Sparkle, and Snow Flakes.
On to the polish... Beware of pictures!

In The Limelight is a true periwinkle, light blue. It is probably my favorite out of all these! The blurred photo shows the true color in my opinion, so I included it.

Muse-ical is a very flat, glamorous, and edgy grey. It is very opaque and can be worn with one coat.

By Design is a medium-dark plum shade. This is also very opaque and one of my new favorites!

Style Icon is deep red. It is very classic and perfect for the fall season! Seen below is one coat.

Okay, now for the glitter polishes. I only did one nail per color because, let's be honest here, I did NOT want to remove glitter from all my nails four different times! Do you blame me? :p

Berry and Bright is a deep red with silver and blue micro glitter.

Ho-Ho Holly is a very deep green with blue undertones and gold shimmer. I am so in love with this color. It's perfect!

Snow-Flakes is an orange-pink flakie polish. 'nuff said. It is an EXACT dupe for Essie Shine of the Times.

Gift of Sparkle is my number one favorite out of all my new polishes. It is a purple microglitter base with loads of holographic glitter. It is so beautiful, I can't handle it!

Woah dang! Is it really midnight already? Where does the time go?
Thanks for reading!
Hello to all new followers! You guys are the best! (hugsss) :)
Now I am going to lay in bed and do a crossword puzzle. How old am I anyway?

C'est fini!

Owl Be Seeing You!

Bonjour!
How is everyone?
This design was inspired by my recent obsession with owls.
I have no idea where this came from.. oh well. I think they are cute!
Wait... I do know where I fell in love with them. I saw an owl Scentsy burner!
I thought it was adorable, so I wanted an owl on my nail. :)
The color you see on all other nails is Zoya Edyta. This color is probably going to be my favorite for fall.
Then on the "owl" finger. I used Zoya Avery for a base. Essie Set In Stones for the owl body.
Then I used little gold circle studs and beads that I got from a local beauty store for outlines.
I think it turned out cute. I'm not sure how much of an owl it really looks like though!
Just use your imagination. hahaha
Hey... I tried, okay? :)
Unfortunately, my top coat bubbled. Ugh.
Alright.. alright.. here it is!

Thanks for reading!
Coming up next: a funky blue design!

Abstract Wine

Hi everyone! I've been spending my Sunday evening preparing for the week ahead.
I've got Breakfast at Tiffany's playing, candles lit, and nailart to post! :)
Since I'm going to New York City in a month I decided there was no better time to watch this movie.
Oh, I love New York.
Anywayyyyy... on to the nailart.
I painted my nails a really pretty gold-wine color.
I used: N.Y.C - Wing it Wine.
(Okay... I did NOT plan that! What a coincidence! haha)
I wanted to try doing a tape manicure. I really love doing this! It's so simple, yet gorgeous!
I taped out triangle shapes on each nail and painted them in with a nude shade.
I used: Zoya - Avery.
I adore this color. It's very opaque so one coat is plenty! It makes it very easy when doing tape manicures since you have to remove the tape right away. :)
I think these colors look very nice together. I also added some gold accents!
Here is the masterpiece!

Thanks for visiting! :)

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th (well, it's the 5th) of July!
Yes, I'm a day late. But, better late than never.
Yesterday I went to a 4th of July picnic and firework show which was amazing.
I had just gotten home from a week of vacation so I have been a pretty busy gal.
I'm still not unpacked!
However, I wanted to take the time out of my day off to share my 4th of July manicure!
It's very simple, but super festive.
I used:
 Essie - Mezmerised
Essie - Meet Me At Sunset
 Essie - Set In Stones
OPI - Last Friday Night
 and OPI - White Shatter.
Then I had some gold stars that I added to my pinkie nail.

I hope you all had a safe and happy 4th!

Pretty Little Gold Glitters

Hi again!
Today I bring you another manicure which I find very, very girly!
I did pink, white, and gold.
The colors I used were a basic pink from the brand N.Y.C.
and a basic white from OPI.
I then used some chunky gold glitters from a nail art kit I have for my accent nails.
Without further ado:

I hope you enjoy!
If you have any ideas for nail art or
something specific you want to see.. let me know!

Shine On

Today I decided to give myself a litte manicure using my two newest polishes from Julep. I adore these colors and the formulas and I am SUPER excited to get my March box! :]
Can you believe it's March already!? I only have 2 more months (or 68 days) until I graduate college, not that I'm counting or anything :D
So, here are my nails.
The colors are Meryl (grey) and Oscar (gold).
I did a little gold glitter highlight nail for some glitz!

Go for the Gold

Hi! Well, as you can probably tell this is my first post!
I'm pretty excited to get started with this! I've been planning on
starting a nail art blog for a loooong time. I finally just went for it!
Bug, I don't want to be boring and have this post filled with words about my life
and what I'm made of and whatnot. So, let's jump right into the nailart!
This week I did a really simple nail look where I used OPI Designer..De Better
and OPI Spark De Triomphe.
As you can see, the one on the left (Designer de Better) is more of a metallic taupe shade while
the one on the right (Spark de Triomphe) is a gold glitter polish.

What I did was painted my nails with a base coat then two coats of Designer De Better. Once that was dry, I added one coat of Spark De Triomphe which just gave it a brilliant dimensional shine.
