Polka Dot Dot Dot

Hello again! Today I did a really fun manicure with contrasting colors.
I thought that since the weather is getting warm (or scorching in my case)
I would use some bright, fun, summery colors on my nails.
The colors I used are China Glaze - For Audrey and Julep - Mandy.
Before I forget, you can sign up for Julep Maven this month for a penny!
Yes, you read that correct. Go here: http://julep.com/?r=19060511
and type in the code COLOR2012 at checkout!
Plus, they are throwing in an additional nail polish this month.
It's a Fourth of July themed glitter!
Using these colors I created a polka dot design.
I wanted to do a kind of polka dot gradient, but it didn't work out as I had visualized.
However, I liked it anyways!
I adore these two colors together. I think it is so fun and cute.

Hey guys! I recently wanted to paint my nails something classic, but not boring.
So I thought.. what is more classic than a french manicure?
A plain french manicure looks really nice in my opinion but can be so plain looking.
There are a ton of ways to spice up a french manicure!
You can do neon tips.
Double striped tips.
Lace tips.
Zig-zag tips.
Or in my case.. Glitter! :)
Glitter is perhaps my favorite thing to wear on my nails. It's so fun to look at!
So, I used OPI Bubble Bath for the base, and OPI basic white for the tips and then I dipped them in a silver holographic glitter. I then mixed some of the holographic glitter into an old clear top coat and painted my nails with it to get a little bit of glitter all over the nail.
I really love the way it turned out!
Do you? :)

Water-mani-on

Today I was inspired by the delicous and popular summer fruit...
watermelon!
Since the summer months are here I though I would try do to a manicure that is summer and picnic ready! I chose to do watermelon because it seems to be a universally popular picnic and BBQ food choice. It's very simple to do and I hope you like it!
The colors used are NYC: Polyester Pink and OPI: Who The Shrek Are You
for the white and black I just used basic striper polishes.

Meet Me At Sunset

Today I'm bringing you a gradient manicure inspired by summer sunsets.
This is my first attempt at doing a gradient type anything, therefore it's a little messy.
However, I still enjoy it very much and my camera picked up the colors to a T.
Now that I have a method down you can expect to see more (and preferably better) gradients!
Also, I want to apologize for not updating since April, but I was extremely busy finishing up college.
[I graduated in May! :D]
Then I went on a wonderful vacation. After I got home I had to get used to the daily grind again, but
I'm baaack again so if you have any requests feel free to ask!
Oh yeah, don't mind the messiness, I did not have the tools to clean up properly!

For this gradient I used Essie - Meet Me At Sunset and China Glaze - Lemon Fizz.
